Report on Khaleda hurting religious sentiments July 23

Dhaka, June 26 – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday set July 23 for submission of the probe report in the case filed against BNP Chief Begum Khaled Zia for hurting religious sentiments of people and inciting communal hatred. Magistrate Abu Sayed of the CMM Court passed the order as Shahbagh Police Station could not submit the report on Tuesday. President of Jananetri Parishad, a pro-Awami League organization, AB Siddidque filed the case against the BNP Chairperson on October 21, 2014, for her speech at a reception hosted in honour of the Hindu community at Enineers’ Institution on the occasion of Durga Puja on October 14, 2014.
The court, on the date of filing the case, directed the police of Shahbagh Police Station to investigate the case and submit the report to the court. – Special Correspondent
