Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury on Tuesday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has not established any Hawa Bhaban, rather she gave the poor their rights.“The business community still gets panicked hearing the name of Hawa Bhaban. Khaleda and her two sons amassed money by setting up Hawa Bhaban.
But Sheikh Hasina gave the poor their rights,” he said. Matia was distributing VGF rice and cloths among the poor on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Talki union in Nakla upazila.
The minister said the poor people get rice and cloth when Eid comes while students get textbooks and farmers fertiliser in time as Hasina has not created any building like Hawa Bhaban.
She said in the last four and half years, the government added 6,000MW electricity to the national grid, attained food autarchy, snatched victory in the maritime dispute with Myanmar, did much development in the rural areas and achieved 6 percent GDP growth despite various adversities. – UNB
