GAZIPUR: Three suspected robbers were lynched at Palashpur village of Durgapur union under Kapasia upazila of Gazipur district on early Wednesday.The victims were identified as Ramzan Ali, 25, of Rainanda village in Kapasia; Masum, 20, of Kaligang; and Babul Hossain, 35.
Sources said a group of robbers attempted to commit robbery at one Niki Mistry’s house of Palashpur village.
When the owner of the house and his family members tried to resist, robbers started to stab them indiscriminately leaving Niki, his mother and one of their neighbours injured.
Hearing the scream from Niki’s house, local mosque authority informed villagers about the robbery. Hearing the alarm villagers came out and caught the robbers.
Three of robbers died as villagers had beaten them up. However, others robbers managed to flee the scene, said witnesses.
