Dhaka- A court here on Tuesday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for killing his wife in 2017 in Natore .The convict is Minarul Islam of Bamandanga village in Rajshahi.Public prosecutor Sirajul Islam said on January 24 of 2017, Minarul went to visit his in-laws house and got involved in a dispute with his wife Sumi and mother-in-law.
At one stage, he strangled Sumi to death, he added.A case was filed in this connection. Police submitted charge sheet against the person.
After examining the records and witnesses’ statements, Natore District and Sessions Judge Rezaul Karim pronounced the verdict in the presence of the accused.UNB
