Dhaka – WIM Rani Hamid, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva and WFM Zakia Sultana shared the lead in the 38th National Women’s Chess Championship after the 6th round on Monday at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.All the leaders of the table earned five points each from six round games while Noshin Anjum and Umme Taslima Protiva Talukder got the joint 2nd spot, bagging 4.5 points apiece.
In 6th round games, Rani Hamid beat Eva while Zakia beat Munia and Noshin played draw against Protiva.Among others, eight players — WFM Afroza Khanam Bably, Afrin Jahan Munia, Jannatul Ferdousi, Farjana Hossain Annie, Jhorna Begum, Jannatul Ferdous, Kazi Zarin Tasnim and Thakur Zakia Haque – shared the 3rd place earning four points each.UNB
