The certificates of 16 deed writers, including secretary general of Bangladesh Deed Writers’ Association Sadekur Rahman, have been cancelled on charges of misconduct.
Lutfur Rahman, the registrar of Comilla, said the certificates of the deed writers were cancelled as they threatened to wage a movement when the authorities concerned have started taking actions against them for their alleged irregularities.
Sadek, also the president of Comilla district unit of the Association, said they had been the victims of a conspiracy and threatened to take legal recourse against the decision.
