A minor schoolgirl was killed as a rashly driven bus ran over her on the Bogra-Naogaon
Highway at Bazardighi bus stand in Dupchanchia upazila on Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Sathi Akhter, 7, a class-I student of a local school and
daughter of Hasan Ali of Bazaardighi area of the upazila.
Locals said when Sathi was crossing the road at Bazardighi bus stand while going to her
school, a Dhaka-bound roughly speeding bus from Naogaon rammed into the girl, killing
her on the spot.
She was rushed to Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex where doctors pronounced her
death.
