Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized heroin worth Tk 1.5 crore from a bus and arrested a man in this connection at city gate area in the port city on Wednesday. Identity of the arrested man could not be known immediately. Maj Sabbir Ahmed, deputy commander of BGB 26 Battalion, said acting on secret information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in a bus of Hanif Paribahan coming from Dhaka and recovered the contraband drug from the bus and arrested a passenger. Later, the seized drug was handed over to the officials of narcotics control department. –UNB
