The government has allocated 92 tonnes of rice for distributing among flood affected
people in Chapainawabganj.
This was disclosed by deputy commissioner (DC) of Chapainawabganj Sardar Sarafat Ali
while exchanging opinion with the media on Friday.
He said that about 43,518 people of Chapainawabganj Sadar and Shibganj upazilas have
so far been affected by flood.
In addition, he said different food items like, chira, molasses and buiscuits have also been
distributing among the flood affected people of the two upazilas of the district.
The DC added that two medical teams have been working in the flood affected areas.
Besides treatment, the medical teams have been supplying water purifier tablets and oral
