A farmer died from electrocution at Belnagar village in Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Aiyub Hossain, 55, a resident of the village.
Police said Aiyub sustained injuries when he came in contact with a live electric wire
while setting power line to irrigate his paddy field with shallow pump at around 3.00pm.

Youth commits suicide in Bogra
A young man reportedly committed suicide at Ahmedpur in Gabtali upazila early
Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Azizar Rahman, son of Rahim Uddin, a resident of
Ahmedpur.
Locals said Aziz had lost mental balance as he had to spend a large amount of money for
divorcing his wife.
The victim’s family members said failing to bear financial crisis, Azizur committed
suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in the little hours of Sunday.
They found his hanging body in the room in the morning and informed police.
