Relief for flood victims distributed in Gaibandha

District Administration has distributed rice among the flood affected people of three
upazilas in the district.
Official sources said the government has allotted a total of 39 tonnes of rice for flood
affected people of Sadar, Fulchhari and Saghata upazilas in the district to mitigate their
sufferings.
Of these, as many as 10 tonnes of rice were allotted for Sadar and Fuchhari upazila each
and 19 tonnes for Saghata upazila, said district relief and rehabilitation officer Shah
Alam.
Sadar UNO Mamunur Rashid distributed the rice to the flood victims as the chief guest
and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hafizur Rahman was present as the special guest.
Earlier, they also distributed same amount of rice to the flood victims of Karaibari,
Batikamari and Kunderpara chars under Kamarjani union of the upazila.
Each of the beneficiaries got 10 kgs of rice, the sources added. -BSS, Gaibandha
