Police arrested four leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami while holding a secret meeting at Ku-Dirai
village in Dakhkhin Sunamganj upazila on Sunday evening.
The arrestees are Dakhkhin Sunamganj upazila unit Jamaat general secretary Hafiz Abu
Khalid, Pachchim Pagla union unit Jamaat general secretary Alim Uddin, Purbagola
union unit Jamaat secretary Zubayer Ahmed and its Jamaat president Kabir Hossain.
Officer-in-charge of Dakhkhin Sunamganj Police Station M Al Amin said being
tipped off, a team of police led by Sub-inspector Abdul Monayem of the police station
conducted a drive at the village at about 7.00pm and arrested the leaders while holding a
