Mohammed Humayan Kabir Khondaker, Deputy Commissioner of Feni, has cancelled
the licence of “Bilash Boarding,” a residential Hotel, located at Gulshan Market by the
side of Trunk Road, Feni, on September 5, it has been reliably learnt on Monday.
Rehana Begum, owner of the Boarding, said some people including Zhontu, Murad,
Kamal, Farhad, Pintu, Mahim, Mintu, Shahid, Zahir, Badal, were running illegal business
in the hotel since a long time without her knowledge of the owner.
When the matter became known, Rehana Begum submitted a written application to the
Deputy Commissioner to cancel the licence of the hotel.
In view of the complaint the Deputy Collector of Nezarat called for statements of the
plaintiff and respondent on April 24 and April 28, 2013. He personally visited the hotel
on July 11, 2013.
As per the recommendation of the complaint the licence was cancelled according to Dclr.
of Hotel & Restaurant 8(2) kha of 1982. The licence issued to Md. Zahirullah Majumder
(license no. 01/2011) was cancelled.
Copies of cancellation order signed by the Deputy Commissioner were sent to Police
Superintendent and Executive officer of Sadar Upazilla.
It may be recalled that Police, Rab and D.B Police arrested many prostitutes from that
