A mobile court convicted a drug peddler and sentenced him to six months jail for possessing ganja in Bakshiganj upazila here on Monday afternoon.
The convicted was identified as Mridul Chandra Das, 20, son of Nilu Chandra Das of village Char Kauria Simarpar in the upazila.Police said they arrested Mridul from Bakshiganj Bazar area and seized ganja from his possession.Later, the mobile court led by Magistrate ABM Ahsanul Mamun handed down the verdict.
