Miscreants set ablaze the residence of ruling Awami League lawmaker AKM Mozammel Haque in the city’s Chhaybithi area early Wednesday.
Witnesses said a gang of miscreants set fire to the house of Mozammel Haque MP from Gazipur-1 constituency in the area in the little hours of the day by pouring petrol through window.
The house inmates noticed the arson seeing the window burning and began screaming.
Later, locals rushed to the spot and doused the blaze. But Mozammel Haque was away from the house at that time.
No casualty was reported from the arson.
Earlier, miscreants hurled several crude bombs targeting the house of the lawmaker two week backs. –UNB, Gazipur
