A man was killed in a road accident as blockaders chased a battery-run easy-bike on the Dhaka-Kishoreganj Highway in Chauddasato area in sadar upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as businessman Ujjal Sarkar, 28, of Polerghat village in Pakundia upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Sadar police station MA Malek said blockaders chased the vehicle in the area while it was moving towards the district town from Pakundia upazila around 11pm carrying Ujjal along with other passengers.
At one stage, the vehicle overturned and Ujjal fell under it, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to the district hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy. –UNB, Kishoreganj
