Dhaka – The districts of Habiganj and Brahmanbaria have got new deputy commissioners at the order of the Election Commission.Joynal Abedin, deputy secretary of the Cabinet Division, has been made DC of Habiganj while Dr Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, deputy secretary of the Public Administration Ministry, made DC of Brahmanbaria.
The EC on Thursday published the transfer order issued by the public administration ministry on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, the commission ordered the withdrawal of Habiganj DC Monidra Kishore Majumder and that of Brahmanbaria Nur Mohammad Majumder.
The EC’s order came as part of reshuffling the administration in the build-up to the January-5 general election. – UNB
