A man was killed on the spot when a when a covered van dashed him at Sultangonj on Rajshahi-Chapainawabgonj highway under Godagari Upazila of the district last (Friday) early night.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzaque, 60, of Harma village under Sadar Upazila of Chapainawabgonj district.
Quoting witnesses police said the accident occurred when a medicine carrying van ran over him while he was crossing the road around 8.30 pm.
Officer-in-Charge of Godagari Police Station Abu Mukaddem Ali said a case of unnatural death was recorded with the police station in this connection. –BSS, Rajshahi
