One injured in police firing in Old Dhaka

A wayside vendor in Old Dhaka has received gunshot wounds on Monday.
50-year-old Yousuf Ali Khan was hit when police fired to disperse a procession of Opposition supporters at Nababpur area on Monday. He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Bangshal Police Station OC Md Kuddus Fakir said that a few handmade bombs were exploded from a surprise procession took out by the Opposition supporters. They also tried to damage vehicles, forcing the police to open fire.
The street-side food vendor was hit in the stomach, he said, adding that none of the protestors could be detained.
Meanwhile, admitted at the DMCH, Yousuf told bdnews24.com that he was busy with his daily chores at a street-side food shop when all of a sudden some youth gathered to start a procession and exploded bombs.
