Police on Tuesday recovered a bomb-like object in front of the Panchlaish residence of Judge SM Mojibur Rahman dealing with the sensational 10-truck arms-haul case.
Officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station Omar Faruk said finding a bottle wrapped with a red scotch tap, family members of Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mojibur Rahman informed police.
Later, police recovered the bomb-like object from near the house around 12 pm.
A white paper was found with the bottle where someone wrote that Sheikh Hasina and her son, Sajeeb Wajed Joy, are atheists.
Police said someone kept the bomb-like object to create panic among people.
On Sunday, Judge SM Mojibur Rahman fixed January 30 for delivering the verdict in the 10-truck arms haul case.
Jamaat chief and war crimes accused Matiur Rahman Nizami, former State Minister for home Lutfozzaman Babar, two senior officials of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) were among the accused in the case.
