Police in a drive arrested two people along with arms and bullets at Bijoynagar in Godagari upazila on Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as Shimul, 25, son of Bashir Uddin of Panerorashia village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district and Alam Sheikh, 22, son of Bachchu Sheikh of Char Ghoshpur area in Hemayetpur upazila of Pabna district. Acting on secret information, a team of police arrested the duo along with one foreign made pistol, two magazines and 21 rounds of bullet from the area at about 12:00 pm, said Abu Mokaddem Ali, officer-in-charge of Godagari Model Police Station.
