A young man was found dead at Nandishree village in Jakiganj upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sujat Ahmad, 31, son of late Rais Ali, a resident of the village.
Yunus Miah, officer-in-charge of Jakiganj Police Station, said being informed by locals, police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy at about 1:00 pm.Deceased’s wife Jahanara Begum said Sujat had gone out of the house
for cutting grass in a nearby field in the morning.Earlier, two days back, a young man of the village had issued a threat to Sujat over irrigating cropland.Jahanara suspected that the young man might have killed her husband.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Sylhet
