Police in a drive arrested a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal, volunteer wing of BNP, from the district town on Thursday afternoon over attack on police and vandalism.
The arrestee was identified as Kutub Uddin Ahammad, president of the district unit of the organisation.MA Hashem, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid at Samabay Market in the town and arrested Kutub in the afternoon.He was arrested on charges of attacking and obstructing police from performing their duties and vandalising vehicles, added the OC. -UNB, Magura
