A primary school headmaster was assaulted allegedly by the school managing committee president at Tengrabazar in Rajanagar upazila on Sunday.
The injured teacher was identified as Faruque Ahmed, 55, headmaster of Rambhadrapur Government Primary School. Locals said Faruque had an altercation with school managing committee president Nawab Mia over appointing an office assistant at noon.At one stage, Nawab beat up the teacher Faruque indiscriminately,leaving him injured.Later, he was admitted to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital.Contacted, officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police Station M Qamrul Hasan said that he had learnt about the incident but no one made complaint with the police station in this connection.UNB, Moulvibazar
