Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive recovered a pistol from Boikari border point in Sadar upazila early Sunday.
Nayek Subedar Nazrul Islam of Boikari BGB camp said on secret information that a group of smugglers along with firearms entered the Bangladesh territory, a petrol team of the border force launched a drive at Khalilnagar village in the bordering area in the dead of night.Sensing the presence of the border guards, the smugglers managed to flee leaving behind the firearm.Later the BGB team recovered the firearm from a bamboo heath.
