Police arrested a young man in possession of 23 fake notes of Tk 1,000 denomination from Samshernagar in Kamalganj upazila on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Nazir Miah, 35, son of late Jamir Ali, a resident of Singrauli village in the upazila.Police sources said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nazir along with 23 fake notes of Tk 1,000 denomination at about 2:00 pm.Ashraful Islam, assistant superintendent of police, confirmed the arrest.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Moulvibazar
