24 injured, houses vandalised in Jhenidah land dispute

At least 24 houses vandalized and 12 people were injured in two seperate clashes between residents of two villages in Shailkupa and Kaliganj upazilas in Jhenidah over land dispute on Thursday morning.
Shailkupa thana officer in charge Moniruzzaman Mollah said at least 20 people were injured when the activists of Alem Mondol and the followers of Shahajuddin Shah of Moheshpur village under Shailkupa upaizla attacked on each other for land dispute. At the time 2 houses were vandalised. The injured were rushed to the Jhenidah sadar hospital.
Kaliganj thana officer in charge Monir Uddin Mollah said at least 4 people were injured when the activists if Lal Chand attacked Saiyed Ali’s family member of Dudhrajpur village under the upazila. Lal Chand’s followers vandalised 10 houses. The injured were rushed to the Kaliganj upazila health complex.
