The last victim of the Chawkbazar perfume warehouse fire died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Mofizur Rahman alias Mofiz, 40, son of Abdul Gani of 1 Mogaltuli under Chawkbazar Police Station in the old part of the city.
Contacted, sub-inspector Fazlur Rahman of DMCH police camp said Mofiz died at the DMCH Burn and Plastic Surgery unit at about 9:45 pm.
With this, all the three injured in the fire incident at the perfume godown at Chawkbazar succumbed to their injuries. Earlier, two other victims of the fire incident died at the DMCH.
Three employees — Mofiz, Abdul Aziz, 30, and Kabir Hossain, 32 – suffered severe burn injuries when a devastating fire broke out at the warehouse on the 3rd floor of a six-storey building near AC Mosque at Hakim Habibur Rahman Road on April 2.
The injured workers were admitted to the DMCH where all of them succumbed to their injuries. -UNB
