Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Thursday declared three ministers persona non grata on the university campus for their derogatory remarks against the Zia family, including former president and BNP founder Ziaur Rahman.The JCD men brought out a procession on the campus protesting the defamatory remarks of Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Food Minister Quamrul Islam and Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya against Tarique Rahman, eldest son of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Later, they held a rally in front of the university main gate around 2pm from where they declared the three ministers persona non grata on the SUST campus.
The speakers also urged the Awami League leaders to refrain from making objectionable comments against the Zia family. – UNB
