1,000 poor provided free treatments in Rangpur

Nearly 1,000 poor pregnant women, mothers and children were provided medicare services at a daylong free health camp arranged at Haridebpur High School ground under Sadar upazila here on Sunday.

Non-governmental organisation ‘Arter Seba Sangstha’ organised the free health camp with the assistances of the school authority and local public representatives to provide cost free medicare services and medicines to the poor women and children.

With Headmaster of Haridebpur High School Mritunjoy Roy in the chair, Member of Haridebpur union Azizul Islam attended inaugural ceremony of the health camp as the chief guest.

Chairman of ‘Arter Seba Sangstha’ Tauhidul Islam Babu, its Executive Director Mahbubul Islam and Programme Coordinator Shahadat Hossain also attended the ceremony the ceremony.

Medical Officers of the organisations conducted the health camp with the assistances of trained nurses and technicians to provide medicare services to the poor patients, mostly suffering from gynecological problems, malnutrition and anemia.
