A mobile court on December 9 convicted one person and awarded six months simple imprisonment for trading huge quantity of hemp (Ganja) in Sadar upazilla of this district. According to official sources, on the basis of secret information gathered by RAB-8 a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Rubayet Hayat Shiplu carried on drive in village Maharajpur under Sadar upazilla. The mobile court was assisted by ASP Md. Aminul Haque of RAB-8 along with his troupe.The RAB men caught one Abdur Razzak Molla, 40, son of Abdul Mozid Molla with five kilograms of hemp at the specific place according to the information gathered earlier.The mobile court on the spot in presence of villagers awarded Abdur Razzak six months simple imprisonment for possessing the contraband drug. -BSS, Faridpur
