A nine-month old boy, who was kidnapped from the capital’s Banani area nine days ago, was rescued from Gazaripara village in Jhinaigati upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Police said Khokon Mia, 30, who worked as a mason in Dhaka, abducted the nine- month old son of his neighbour Idris Gazi from his home nine days ago.Idris Gazi filed a general diary with Banani Police Station after the incident.Meanwhile, when Khokon was staying in his relative’s house at Gazaripra village with the baby boy local people informed police out of suspicion.Police rescued the boy and arrested Khokon.Jhenaigati thana officer-in-charge Golam Morshed Talukder confirmed the incident. -UNB, Sherpur
