Dhaka, Nov 18-Businessman Aniruddha Kumar Roy has returned to his Gulshan residence on early Thursday after 70 days of his reported abduction, police said quoting his family members.Managing director of RMM Group Aniruddha Kumar Roy, who is also honorary consul general of Belarus, was allegedly abducted from Gulshan area in the city on August 27 afternoon.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan police station Abu Bakar Siddique told journalists that he came to confirm on Saturday morning that businessman Aniruddha had returned his Gulshan residence on early Thursday.
“When I contacted over the phone with Kollol Hazra, a nephew of the businessman Aniruddha, Saturday morning, he told me that his uncle has returned home on early Thursday, “the OC said.
However, the OC said, he was not able to talk to the businessman.
Earlier Kallol Roy filed a general diary with Gulshan police station on August 27 nights in connection with the abduction of his uncle.
Aniruddha Kumar Roy was reportedly dragged into a microbus by three people, soon after he came out of a private bank in Gulshan 1 on August 27 at about 4:15 pm. – GW News Desk
