Police are yet to rescue Nazneen Akhtar(12), daughter of Nurunnabi of Purbo Parul village under Pirgachha upazila in Rangpur district even after sixteen days of her abduction.
According to victim’s family sources a youth named Ismail (23), son of Bazlur Rahman of Deuti village under the same upazila used to tease Nazneen very often, also a student of class VI of Deuty high school.She informed it to her parents. Her parents rebuked Ismail regarding this matter and also threatened him not to disturb her anymore. At this Ismail got furious and was waiting for opportunity to kidnap Nazneen.On October 23 while Nazneen was returning home from her school Ismail along with his accomplices abducted her from school gate area and took her to unknown place. A case was filed in this regard.
