Abductions have created panic for all!

A news item titled “All are silent but are in panic” has drawn my attention. Seven persons were abducted in open daylight from the link road of Dhaka-Narayangonj which is eight kilometres wide and offices of many important government officials including the Police Super’s are adjacent to the road.
To understand the magnitude of the deteriorated situation one of the veteran leaders of Awami League, Suranjit Sengupta had to say, “Abduction and goom has increased in the country.”Today one of the renowned daily’s headline is “Abduction all around” and under this caption we find four people were abducted including a farmer. Not very long ago Abu Bakar Siddique was abducted.
The BNP yesterday came up with a fresh claim that its 310 leaders and activists were killed and subjected to enforced disappearances allegedly by police, Rab and Awami League men in 14 months. Abduction of Ilias Ali also came to our mind.
On the other hand we see that the government makes repeated announcements of its efforts to achieve the dream dream of Sonar Bangla.
People would like to live without any fear and pass their days and night in peace.
