A Narail court on Thursday sentenced a kidnapper to 14 years jail for abduction of a
college girl in 2007.
The life term convict is Supodo Biswas, 25, son of Sukumar Biswas of Nirali village
under sadar upazila of Narail district.
According to the prosecution, Supodo abducted the college girl from her Goalbari
residence under Narail sadar upazila on 9 July, 2007.
A case was recorded with Narail sadar thana police in this connection on July 10 by her
father.
Police submitted charge-sheet indicating Supodo Biswas.
Woman and Child Repression Court Judge Mohammad Faruk Hossein handed down the
verdict after examining the record and evidences. –BSS, Narail
