The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved 10 more cases against NRB Global Bank’s former Managing Director PK Halder and 36 others.ACC took the decision for embezzling about Tk 800 crore from the international leasing organization through loans, conversion and money transfer to accounts of various persons and smuggling.
ACC Secretary Dr Anwar Hossain Hawlader told this to the media on Tuesday.
He said, International Leasing and Financial Services Limited MD Rashedul, acting MD Abed Hossain and the concerned officials and Chairman of the organization MA Hashem and the board members misused their power for fraudulent purposes and cooperated in giving loans to the owner of the organization on 10 papers without taking any mortgage against the loan.
