Principal Social Development Specialist of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sunhwa Lee called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university.
Additional Finance Secretary Abdur Rouf Talukder, former Secretary and Chairman of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited Arastoo Khan, Deputy Finance Secretary Mohammed Walid Hossain, Professor of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of DU Dr. Jawad R Zahid and Assistant Professor Md. Rezaul Kabir were present on the occasion, said a release.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including socio-economic development in Bangladesh. They also discussed the possibilities of introducing training program for DU faculties and mid-level and higher-level officials to enhance their professional skills.
The ADB delegate expressed her willingness to provide financial support to DU for development of its infrastructure facilities.
