Afghanistan team arrive in Chattogram

Dhaka — Afghanistan national cricket team arrived in Chattogram on August 30. Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team landed in Shah Amanat International Airport at 12:45pm here and flew to Chattogram.

In this tour, Afghanistan will play a Test against Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city Chattogram. After that, they will take part in a tri-series T20 which also involves Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The solitary Test will commence from September 5. Before that, the Afghans will take part in a two-day practice game at MA Aziz Stadium on September 1 and 2 against BCB XI.

Before this, Afghanistan played only two Tests. They lost their inaugural Test against India. After that, they registered their first Test win over Ireland.

Afghanistan included leg-spinner Qais Ahmed in their Test team. Qais, the 19-year-old spinner, recently toured Bangladesh for Afghanistan A did well.
