The 10th Parliamentary election will get place history for its bad instance and would be the worst election in Bangladesh. Earlier, AL talked of Magura-style election, and now people will talk of AL-style election.The ruling party has lost its image as a democratic party in the meantime and it has created bad new images. We have not forgotten the events of our Liberation War of 1971 but the present situation at times looks worse than that of the war in terms of ferocity of engagements between pro-government and pro-opposition forces.
Civil society and all social organizations except Awami League and its few allies are against the election like this.
One of my relatives is the administrative head of a district and another is a polling officer in Dhaka. They along with their family members are passing most anxious time in their life as they have to perform election duties against boycott of the same by all opposition parties.
People cannot forget the declared and undeclared fights among different sections of the society that have been reported in the news media.
