Dhaka, Aug 18 – Mentioning that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Saima Hossain Wazed and sister Sheikh Rehana have no personal or official account or page in social media sites, especially Facebook and Twitter, Awami League has urged all to remain alert about fake IDs in the names of Bangabandhu’s family members. Facebook authorities have recently blocked a fake Facebook ID opened in the name of Saima Hossain Wazed which tried to be verified by providing fake information, said an AL press release on Saturday.
It said Bangabandhu’s two grandsons – Sajeeb Wazed Joy and Radwan Mujib Siddiq — have a verified Facebook page and a Facebook account respectively.
Sheikh Hasina’s son and PM’s ICT Affairs Adviser Joy maintains the verified Facebook page (www.facebook.com/sajeeb.a.wazed) and a verified Twitter ID (www.twitter.com/sajeebwazed) while Radwan Mujib Siddiq maintains Facebook account (www.facebook.com/radwan.siddiq), the release said.
If any member of the Bangabandhu family opens any ID or page in social media platforms in future, people will be informed about it through the media, it added. – UNB
