Speakers at the concluding ceremony of a five-week training course have asked the Ansar-VDP members to achieve economic self-reliance through income generation activities in accelerating overall national uplift.
District Ansar and VDP office organised the training course for the Ansar-VDP members for the phase on repairing and maintenance of mobile phone sets at its Mahiganj Regional Vocational Training Centre in the city.District Ansar- VDP Adjutant Mahbubur Rahman attended and addressed the ceremony as the chief guest on Saturday afternoon. He also distributed certificates and prizes among the participant Ansar-VDP members from eight northern districts.District Ansar-VDP Adjutant Mahbubur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Mohammad Abdur Rashid, Technical Trainer Akmal Hosain Shimu and Mishnur Islam conducted the training course as the resource persons and technical trainers.Twenty-five Ansar- VDP members, aged between 18 and 25 years, from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Naogaon, Natore, Chapainawabganj, Gaibandha, Kurigram and Nilphamari participated in the course to enhance their skill and expertise on mobile phone set repairing and maintenance.The speakers said Ansar-VDP members have been contributing laudable services in building congenial atmosphere for rural uplift through rendering sincere services and creating mass awareness and eliminating social crimes and curses.In his speech, the chief guest said role of Ansar-VDP is vital to ensure smooth rural development through eradicating poverty to achieve self-reliance in building a middle income digital Bangladesh by 2021, they said.He also called upon the participants to utilize the skill, knowledge and expertise they acquired from the training course in achieving their own economic self-reliance to lead better life side by side with serving the nation with utmost dedication and sincerity. -BSS, Rangpur
