Spiritual leader of the Catholics in Bangladesh Archbishop Paulinus Costa died of cardiac arrest on Saturday. He was 78.
Paulinus Costa, who was Archbishop of the archdiocese of Dhaka from 2005 to October 22, 2011, breathed his last around 3 pm, said a party press release.BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed profound shock at Paulinus Costa’s death.
In a condolence message, she said as a Catholic Christian spiritual guru he was tolerant towards all religions.
Khaleda prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family members, fans and well-wishers. – UNB
