Art show on Rohingyas begins in Dhaka

Dhaka, Jun 21 – A weeklong art exhibition on Rohingya refugees kicked off at Liberation War Museum on Wednesday with lighting the candles. The exhibition titled “Art For Humanity: The Flight and Resilience of the Rohingya” was jointly inaugurated by Mia Seppo, the UN Resident Coordinator, ZZiauddinTariq Ali, Member Secretary and Trustee of the Liberation War Museum, Professor Abul Burk Alvi, former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University, Tanbir Sarwar Rana, President of the Cox’s Bazar Art Club and Papa Kysma Sylla, Deputy Country Representative of UNHCR Bangladesh.
The exhibition is to continue till June 28 at the Gallery 5.
Paintings drawn by the Rohingya refugee children are also being displayed in the exhibition. – UNB
