Asif Akbar’s cricket song after 15 years

Cultural Correspondent
Vocalist Asif Akbar wanted to be a cricketer in his early life but then had to choose music as fortune had different plans for him. The singer has many times reflected on his early passion for cricket. To fulfill his passion he sang an inspirational song back in 2004 under the title ‘Sabash Bangladesh’ that garnered huge popularity. Now fifteen years have passed and Asif has decided to bring his second cricket song just before the ICC Cricket World Cup. Vocalists Puja and Oishorjo have joined with him in the song which would come out on May 25 on Cheer Up’s facebook page and YouTube channel.
Snehashish Ghosh has written and composed the song with arrangement by MMP Rony. Mahmud Mahin has directed the music video of the song.
About the song Asif says, that the song with its music, lyrics and musical arrangement has everything required to ignite the people for cricket. After the song gets published everyone would like it, he believes.
Puja and Oishorjo are also optimistic about the song as they think that the chance to wish the Bangladesh Cricket Team good-luck for the upcoming World Cup through singing along Asif is something really worth cherishing. Now the work of all of them would only prove successful if everyone likes the song, the two singers think.
