He was addressing a press conference at the district Awami League office in the afternoon.

District AL president AKM Mojammel Hossain, MP and Jahid Hasan Russell, MP were, among others, present at the press conference.
Earlier, around 3pm, Jahangir arrived at his Gazipur residence at Bhogra amid tight security.
A large number of supporters with his election symbol ‘pineapple’ in hands greeted him. He responded to them waving hands and entered the residence wiping out tears from his eyes.
After a while, he along with others started for the Awami League office.
However, his supporters intercepted him in front of the Central Mosque near rail gate lying down before his vehicle. Many of them were also seen crying.
Law enforcers were seen playing the role of spectators at that time.
Later, Mojammel Haque, Russell and city AL president Advocate Waj Uddin Miah took Jahangir to the party office.
