Dhaka-Australia’s senior players voted at a secret meeting in Sydney on Monday to attend a planned training camp but boycott the tour of Bangladesh if a deal is not reached in the dispute with Cricket Australia.Captain Steve Smith and Vice-captain David Warner attended the meeting with Australian Cricket Association chief executive Alistair Nicholson to consider their options after a breakdown in the talks at the end of last week, reports The Australian.Steve Smith-led Australian side is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on August 18 for a two-Test series in Dhaka and Chittagong, but the tour is still pending on the resolution of Australian cricket’s pay dispute which started with the expiration of the most recent MoU on July 1.The players discussed a range of options including taking part in the tour under a special contractual arrangement — Australian’s women cricketers played in the World Cup under interim contracts — but resolved to stand by the resolutions reached at their meeting on July 2 and refuse to partake in any tours unless there is a new MOU in place.The squad voted to attend the training camp in Darwin on August 10, but will not get on the plane to Bangladesh seven days later unless an agreement is reached.
