B Chy flays billboard politics, seeks Adilur’s release

Dhaka – Comparing the government’s ‘billboard politics’ with the culture of char capture, Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Monday asked the government to seek apology to people for this and urged it to compensate the affected billboard owners.“I strongly protest the politics of billboards and call upon the government to seek apology for such politics. I’m also asking the government to compensate the owners of the billboards,” he said in a statement.
The former President said the government should not have done this by capturing all the billboards of others in the capital like ‘char capture’ for letting people know the ‘truths and false’.
In another statement, B Chowdhury demanded the release of human rights activist and Odhikar secretary Adilur Rahman.
“This renowned person shouldn’t have been arrested. At best, a case could’ve been filed against him. I consider this incident as the violation of human rights,” he said.
