Dhaka – The 2nd Youth ODI match of the five-match series between hosts Bangladesh U-19 team and touring Afghanistan U-19 side was washed out at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium due to rain on Saturday.Sent into bat first, Bangladesh Youth team scored 182 for 9 in 43 overs before the match was abandoned.Number five Mohammad Rakib contributed 46 runs off 57 balls hitting six boundaries, number six Mahidul Islam scored 44 runs off 73 balls with a six, last match man of the match Kazi Anik Islam added 32 runs with one four and two sixes while opening batsman cum captain Saif Hasan scored 48-ball 26 runs with two fours and six.Yousuf Zazai grabbed four wickets for 50 runs, Mujeen Ur Rahman claimed thee wickets for 23 runs while Ibrahim Zadran took one for 21 runs.Earlier on Thursday, Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team got off to flying start in the five-match Youth ODI series outplaying Afghanistan by huge 145-run in the opening first match.UNB news agency
