Bangladesh asked facebook for information on 17 users

Bangladesh government has sought information on 17 users from Facebook in the first six months of 2014.
The social media website, however, has not responded to any of the requests, according its report on such pleas from January to June.
Bangladesh sought information on the 17 individuals in a total seven requests, the report shows.But Facebook sealed access to ‘three contents’ for users in Bangladesh following the government’s requests made between July and December last year.
facebook Incorporation sources have said they respond to valid requests that relate to criminality. It examined the legality of requests made.
facebook received a total of 34,946 requests for information on users during the first six months of the current years from governments all over the world. They have appealed to higher authorities to cancel those requests. facebook also has appealed to governments to restore those information that have been blocked by them. – Agencies
